Over the Garden Wall

Threshold crossings in children's media

"Patience is the night" - the best feeds off of others inaction due to fear. He does not need to even do anything to exert his control over the forest.

Need to review the lyrics for the soundtrack

Jason Funderberker (frog) is GOD in this universe.

Need to review the cartoon styles used throughout the series.

My theory: Wirt and Greg (and Beatrice, Woodsman, and his daugther) cross the threshold between life and death from their respective realms. They choose to not die in the Pottsfield episode, where Enoch THE LORD OF DEATH accepts their choice and says see you later alligator. In order to return back to life, they must overcome the flaw that lead them there in the first place (Writ: Afraid of living his life basically. Greg: Feels guilty about being a burden, stealing a rock Beatrice: Feels like she doesn't deserve her family's love because she made a mistake. Woodsman: Accepting his daughther's death?).
